The Problem
Doping is a global issue, implicating athletes from diverse backgrounds, regions or types of sports. Moreover, unintentional violations may be caused by various factors such as lack of
knowledge, contaminated supplements, use of medications that contain prohibited substances, lack comprehensive
understanding of anti-doping rules, environmental contamination or medical treatments.
The Solution
AntiDop aims to train Athletes Support Personnel (ASP) comprehensively to prevent intentional or unintentional doping
violations. The project will develop an eLearning/mLearning platform to offer Massive Open Online Courses to effectively educate ASP utilizing interactive training content (e.g. Serious Games, gamification, simulations) for enhanced engagement.
The People
Athletes generally need the guidance of their ASP and rely on the expertise to optimize their diet, enhance performance and achieve their athletic goals. This is the reason we focus on the training of ASP (coaches, trainers,
nutritionists, managers, medical doctors, sports psychologists, parents) to make informed decisions regarding supplement
usage, weighing both the potential benefits and risks.
About the project
AntiDop is a 36 months project funded by the Erasmus+ SPORT framework (Topic: ERASMUS-SPORT-2024-SCP). It started on December 2024 with a consortium of eight partners.
Dealing with doping in sports, which is a complex and contentious issue and has garnered significant attention in recent years, AntiDop aims to provide training to ASPs in order to raise awareness, provide scientifically valid information, foster prevention, and avoid unintending violation of the anti-doping rules.
The Training Missions of AntiDop will cover the wide topic of nutrition supplements, pharmaceuticals, and personal dietary plans. The strategy will not turn against NS, but it will emphasize the appropriate use of them and the informed decisions that ASPs make for the athletes they support.

Features
AntiDop proposes a set of modern features which rely on disruptive technologies and innovative educational approaches
eLearning/mLearning Training Missions
Our Training Missions are structured, goal-oriented learning activities designed to engage learners in digital or mobile environments. These missions break down training content into interactive, bite-sized tasks that learners can complete at their own pace.
Personalized Educational Services
We introduce Personalization in Educational Services to deliver tailored learning experiences designed to meet the unique needs, preferences, and goals of individual learners. By leveraging learning analytics, content adaptation and learner’s feedback, we maximize engagement and effectiveness.
Serious Games (Edutainment)
We design Serious Games to sensitize, prevent and educate ASPs. By combining engaging gameplay with real-world objectives, this approach enhances learning, behaviour change and decision-making against doping. Our games offer an interactive way to build skills and knowledge.
Gamification
We gamify the overall learning process by adding game elements (like points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges) in Training Missions. It boosts engagement, motivation, and participation by tapping into people’s natural desire for achievement and competition.
STEM Approaches
We apply a STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) approach to learning that emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking. This interdisciplinary approach offers to ASPs hands-on, real-world experiences that connect course concepts to practical applications in fighting against doping.
Mictolearning Models
Our learning approach is to deliver content in small & easily digestible units, focused on specific objectives. Our bite-sized learning sessions are designed for quick consumption, making them ideal for just-in-time learning and mobile access. This enhances retention and flexibility by allowing ASPs to absorb knowledge at their own pace.
